The story

Stanislas puts down his suitcase in a country in the midst of reconstruction. Shaken by the death of his mother, he comes to join Walter, an old eccentric, who introduces himself as the father Stanislas never knew. Refusing all possibilities of friendship, Stanislas stubbornly throws his ball against the wall, until one day, a mysterious voice emanates from the stone to talk to him. Armed with gentleness and patience, this voice from the nights of long ago opens an unknown breach into the heart of the boy.

Author Sébastien Harrisson weaves a unique dialogue between a modern day child and a voice that bears the myths that forged our civilisations.

The production was created on October 21, 2007 at the Beloeil Cultural Centre. A study guide and workshop are available as an accompaniment to the performance.
